Lovely accommodations, in a beautifully restored historic building. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great amenities. Could use another shelf and towel rack in bath, and sitting chair in room.
As an extra treat, Victor's restaurant, a Florence institution, and one of the best in the area, is located on the ground floor; featuring great food all the time and live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
I made a stop in Florence, SC en route back to my South Florida home after Hurricane Irma and stayed at Hotel Florence one night. It is an old but very charming and recently renovated hotel in a nice little eclectic neighborhood with excellent restaurants and lark plazas nearby. The hotel was very nicely furnished with a cross between modern and rustic or shabby chic. The staff was very pleasant. I actually wish I stayed a few more nights to experience the neighborhood a bit more.
Extremely clean, well-maintained downtown hotel. Quiet, relaxing, great service. Pretty, sunny, cheerful atmosphere. Only complaint is the disgusting animal skin rug in our suite. We rolled it up and stuck it under the bed during our stay because it was upsetting to our children, too. Otherwise, we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
A wonderful boutique hotel at a chain rate. A cozy room (not large but big enough for business or weekend trip) with a super-comfortable king size bed. The location is what distinguishes this hotel. Downtown Florence, SC has been going through a renaissance over the past few years, and the rate of improvements is now at full speed. So many new restaurants, and cultural (yes, in Downtown Florence!) venues that anyone visiting the area, for business or pleasure should seriously consider staying here.
This hotel was a true gem! So much character packed into every floor. Every room is unique and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming through Florence! The whole place is charming and very clean. The building is beautiful, to boot. It was renovated from an old industrial building, so it has high ceilings and other cool features. They even left some of the original brickwork exposed in some of the hallways and stairwells. Surrounding neighborhood is all recently developed with lots of new stores popping up. Free parking is available right across the street.
