And then there was the FOOD!! Absolutely unbelievable! Every bite full of distinct flavor and texture! Fried fish lightly battered crunch on the outside and beautifully moist on the inside ! Grits which had texture and bite full of corn flavor! Biscuits which tasted like mom makes! A chicken sandwich moist and flavorful on homemade bread! AMAZING!

If you're going for fancy decor and linens, I'd pass. If you want truly good food, prepared well, this little place at the Florence Farmers market is a gem. There's a reason why they get consistent 5 star ratings.

Wow...thoroughly enjoyed our food and the owner, Fran, is a delight. The restaurant itself is worth a tour as you admire the old wood construction. I had wonderful fried shrimp and my husband had fried chicken. The shrimp are as good as I have ever had with a very light dredging of breading and just lightly fried. I also had their cooked cabbage and fried green tomatoes. And their homemade fried potato chips were addictive. Easy access right off of I-95 or Highway 52. We then walked over to the farmers market and purchased turnip greens, locally processed corn meal and grits and green peanuts for boiling...Great experience all around!
The hospitality alone would have earned 5 stars! All were warm, embracing, informative and entertaining! Delightful conversations!
Just stopped for lunch. Pulled pork was very good. My son had the Mayberry sandwich and said it was excellent . Every thing was very good. Will stop there again when going this direction. Service was great!!!
What a great discover. A couple of friends and I regularly eat lunch on Wednesdays. For first time we went today. Great food, great service. Will go again. Anyone in the area should check it out
